Biography

Born in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic). In 1996 he graduated from the Ufa Choreographic School (now the Bashkir Choreographic College named after R. Nureyev). In 1996-97 worked in the troupe of the Opera and Ballet Theater of the Komi Republic.

In 1997-2001 was a soloist of the ballet troupe of the St. Petersburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.P. Mussorgsky, where his repertoire included the following parts:

He was a partner of almost all the leading dancers of the Mariinsky Theatre.

In 2005, he took part in the creative evening of Svetlana Zakharova at the Bolshoi – he danced the “Middle Duet” with her.
In 2006, he performed several times at the Bolshoi Theater as Jose in the ballet Carmen Suite. In the 2006/07 season he was already a member of the Bolshoi Theater troupe. The debut took place in the role of Jan in the ballet “Bolt” – from this performance, the French company Bel Air Media began filming this ballet.

Rehearses under the direction of Viktor Barykin. Since the start of the 2016-17 season works under a contract.

Participated in the projects of the Bolshoi Theater “Workshop of new choreography” – in 2006 he performed with Ekaterina Krysanova in the number “+2” to the music of G.F. Handel staged by Vyacheslav Samodurov (London), in 2008 he also performed with her “Dramatic Poem”, which was included in the first section of the “Workshop” – based on “Scriabiniana” by Kasyan Goleizovsky.
In 2007, he performed in the ballet Old Women Falling Out to music by L. Desyatnikov (choreography by A. Ratmansky), shown first at the Territory festival and then as part of the New Choreography Workshop.

In 2011, he established a nominal scholarship for the best students of the Bashkir Choreographic College, in 2012 – a nominal prize at the Arabesque Open International Competition – “For the truth of the image, emotionality and expressiveness.”

In 2014 he tried himself as a choreographer, staging the ballet The Scream to music by S. Upen, J. Vandenbroek, E. Melleck, J. Sollim, A. Torg, M. Richter, P. Wasks, R. Wagner based on Alexander Zinoviev’s novel “Go to Golgotha” at the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

In 2015 he became a member of the jury of the Golden Mask National Theater Award.

 

Tour

He regularly participates in international gala concerts, in particular, he performed in the concert programs “Roberto Bolle and his friends”, “Vladimir Malakhov and his friends”. He is one of the permanent partners of Svetlana Zakharova, with whom she performs a lot abroad.
In a concert under the auspices of Malakhov (Japan, 2004) he performed with Polina Semionova, performing pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty and Tchaikovsky’s Pas de deux (choreography by J. Balanchine).
Filmed for the traditional Viennese New Year’s concert (Eggenberg Castle near Graz, 2003, live broadcast on TV, choreography by B. Eifman).
2009 – with Chulpan Khamatova he performed in the play “Poor Liza” to the music of L. Desyatnikov (staged by A. Sigalova). The premiere of the play, included in the repertoire of the Theater of Nations, took place on the stage of the Center. Sun. Meyerhold.
2011 – performed as Basil in the ballet Don Quixote (edited by R. Barra) with the Bavarian State Ballet (Munich, Kitri – Ekaterina Krysanova);
participated in the world premiere of the number “The Object of Change” to the music of F. Schubert “Death and the Maiden” (movement II Andante con moto) arranged for the chamber orchestra by G. Mahler (choreography by P. Lightfoot and S. Leon), shown as part of the program “ Diana Vishneva: Dialogues at the Mariinsky Theatre.
2012 – performed as Espada at the premiere of a new version of the ballet Don Quixote (edited by M. Messerer) at the Mikhailovsky Theater.
2013 – performed in the ballet “Don Quixote” (staged by E. Khasyanova) with the troupe of the Donetsk National Academic Theater. A.B. Solovyanenko within the framework of the XX International Festival “Stars of the World Ballet” (Donetsk, partner – Ekaterina Krysanova);
took part in the Evening of Choreography by Alexei Ratmansky at La Scala (Russian Seasons, partner – Svetlana Zakharova).
2014 – performed at the I Trans-Siberian Festival in Novosibirsk (organizer Vadim Repin), performing with Svetlana Zakharova the number “Screams in the distance” to the music of T. Albinoni (choreography by E. Liang);
in the Fringe / “On the Roadside” program of the Edinburgh Festival, performing the number “Log In / Log Out” to the music of M. Monk (choreography by Susana B. Williams) and a fragment of his own ballet “The Scream” as part of the International Choreographers Showcase / International Choreographers Showcase, constantly conducted by S.B. Williams and her Dance Forms Productions troupe;
on the stage of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theater he participated in the world premiere of the ballet Fortuna vis Lucem with the troupe of the Moscow State Musical Theater of Plastic Ballet New Ballet (choreography by F. Ventrilla, partner Anna Antonicheva).
